Dango Quattara was the hero and later the villain as Burkina Faso edged out Tunisia at the quarter finals of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Quattara’s goals which came in the third minute of the added time of the first half decided the match.

With eight minutes remaining in regulation time, Ouattara was  expelled from the game for elbowing Maaloul.

It is the end of the adventures of Tunisia who scored just in two games of five played and it was their solatary goal against Nigeria that knocked out one of the tournament’s overwhelming favourites.

Burkina Faso will now wait for the winner of Sunday’s clash of Senegal and Equatorial Guinea to know their semi-finals opponents.

Morocco will also face Egypt in another quarter-finals match.
