The people of Bunyoro are excitedly waiting for the launch of their finest station, Radio 7, this Saturday July 2 at Masindi Stadium.

Veteran journalist Joseph Tamale Mirundi, a panelist on Radio 7’s Niiwe Nsonga which airs on Mondays, State Minister for ICT Kabbyanga Baluku and social activist Frank Gashumba are some of the many government officials, politicians, radio presenters and revelers who will grace the event.

Uganda’s top musicians including Kabako, Gravity, Clever J, Gerald Kiweewa, Fred Ssebbaale, Chance Nalubega, Abdu Mulaasi, Godfrey Bbunjo, Willy Mukaabya, XY Gklan, etcetera, will entertain the revelers.

The event is organized in partnership with the Uganda National Cultural Centre and will be relayed live on UBC TV.

Located in Masindi town, Radio 7, Eiraka Ly’Abaijukuru Ba Kabaleega hit the airwaves on January 17 this year.

The station broadcasts in Runyoro as a dominant Language as well as English, Luganda and Runyankore.

Owned by celebrated businessman, Balaam Barugahara, Radio 7 has beaten all odds to become everyone’s favorite radio station in the first six months of its existence so far.

The station is credited for its timely, professional and innovative delivery of social, political and economic information to its audience.

Broadcasting on 100.7 FM, Radio 7 roots its programing into informing, entertaining and educating masses as means of improving their lives.

According to, Edward Majaju, the Station’s Program’s Manager, the radio’s unmatched programming that caters for all ages, is responsible for pitting them to being everyone’s radio of choice.

“We are shaking the airwaves, they have felt us and this, is just the beginning. We have a lot lined up for our listeners. Our objective is mainly to give the people what they deserve as well as transforming their lives through our programming,” Majaju says.
