Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA), the national football governing body in the Democratic Republic of Congo is at the blink of facing legal action over unveiling former Uganda Cranes Coach, Sebastien Desabre, as the new Manager of the country’s national football team.

This is according to is according to French Ligue 2 side Chamois, where Desabre is the Head Coach. FECOFA on Saturday used its official website to announce the appointment of Sebastien Desabre as Coach

Now in a statement released by Chamois, the club is surprised to hear of the announcement yet there has not been any engagements with FECOFA over the same.

“Chamois Niortais Football Club has never been in contact with the FECOFA regarding its coach Sébastien Desabre and reiterates its desire to keep him beyond his current contract,” notes Chamois.

“Furthermore, Chamois Niortais Football Club reserves the right to take any legal action against the Congolese Football Federation following the particularly unwelcome publication of this “official” announcement on the day of its first home match of the 2022/2023 Ligue 2 BKT season,” adds the Club.

FECOFA is yet to respond.
