“However much the role of infrastructure development is directly for government, the wings spread should be a concern for every Stakeholder because Sport is for all so I call upon all ethusiasists like the Kabaka of Buganda and others to add more efforts on what they’ve already done if the Sports sector is to grow bigger,” said the Former SC Vills player.

Relatively, Mbidde also threw a comment about the delayed construction of Mandela National Stadium Namboole as he faulted Government and FUFA for poor planning.

Albeit the heavy downpour, action in the corporate league went on at Old Kampala SS last Sunday.

“Football governing bodies releases activity calendars two years prior to enable different Federations plan better so it is ill for FUFA to fault UPDF for the delayed construction, it is their poor planning that has costed us,” said optimistic Mbidde.

The Sporty Marketer said all this during the third outing of the Corporate league that happened on Sunday 30th April 2023 at Old Kampala SS Playgrounds.

Happening for the last 20 years, the 2023 edition has seen a number of about 85 companies gathering to play different sports for socio-economic transformation.

Albeit the downpour, teams like Uganda Revenue Authority, Uganda Breweries Limited, Hariss International among others took charge to the slippering old Kampala SS Playgrounds for the social gathering.

Coca-cola Beverages limited were one of the biggest winners of the day as they put 5 past Uganda Red Cross Society and MK Army Central Region played their first game staging a barren stalemate against New Vision.

The Fourth Outing of the Corporate league is expected to take place at Makerere University Business School Playgrounds as it will see the introduction of more sports disciplines.
