The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance now claims that the IEBC system was compromised.
Speaking to the media ahead of the announcement of the presidential results, Raila Odinga’s Chief agent Saitabao Ole Kanchory said it was the reason he said Bomas was a ‘crime scene’.
“We have intelligence reports that their system was penetrated and hacked and that some IEBC officials committed electoral offences and some of them ought to have been arrested,” he said.
Kanchory said IEBC should be accountable to Kenyans by conducting credible polls.
He added that they have not been able to verify the results of the presidential election.
“A result that is not verifiable is not a result and the chairman (Wafula Chebukati) had assured Kenyans that he will run this election transparently which he has not,” Kanchori added.
The allegations come ahead of the announcement of the presidential results outcome.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati had earlier announced that it would happen at 3 pm but the time was moved to 4 pm.
At the time of publication (5pm) the IEBC had not announced the president-elect.
