Deo Tumuhairwe, a rugby player with Sailors Club is dead.

He passed away from Mulago National Referral Hospital where he was hospitalised for days battling heart related complications.

The deceased played number 2 before he passed away and his role was to be a hooker where he throws the ball in a line out of what is commonly reffered to as throw in and in the scam he is supposed to take the ball back from the legs of the opponents.

At his untimely demise, Tumuheirwe who was known as Mukiga, also played for Black Pirates Rugby Football Club and served his country as a national player.

Sailors’ is a rugby club that natures young rugby players and doubles as the juniour side of Stanbic Black Pirates .

The team also plays in the Uganda Central League and it is currently 4th on the table with three losses so far and one game to go .However it will also contest in the Uganda Cup league as well.

Daniel Kakaire, one of his teammates described him as a man who spoke less but did more action and also a perfect example to his team .

Sailors will be back in action again on April 2 where they will be playing against Rams 2 at Kings Park Arena ,Bweyogerere.
