Andrew Ojok Oulanyah ,who was endorsed by Museveni to replace his father ,Jacob L'Okori Oulanyah

The President of the Republic of Uganda ,His Excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and also the chairman of the ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM) has endorsed Andrew Ojok Oulanyah as the NRM party flag bearer for Omoro County by-election .

Ojok Oulanyah is the eldest son of the deceased Speaker of the 11th Parliament of Uganda and also member of Parliament for Omoro County.

Following the death of Jacob Oulanyah ,Electoral Commission of Uganda set dates for the election of a new member of Parliament.

Oulabyah died on March 20 in a highly reputable hospital in Seattle ,United States of America (USA) where he had been rushed in early February on an emergency flight after his health and seriously detoriated.

Museveni chose Ojok So that finishes his father’s term .

Andrew Ojok Oulanyah was first endorsed by his family members led by the brother of the late ,Francis Emona who told the people of Omoro during Oulanyah’s baurial on April 8 ,that he had the characteristics of his father and his the best replacement.

However his endorsement has brought up alot of unsatisfied issues among other NRM.

The aspirants included Omoro District Chairperson Douglas Peter Okello, Andrew Olal, Francis Rwotlonyo, Richard Bongowat Luganya, and Ben Acellam.

The 32 year old Ojok is the eldest son of the late Oulanyah ,before his resignation in order to join the election race , he was a senior IT employee at National Information Technology Authority – Uganda(NITA-U) .

This body is under the monitorance of the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance and it was established under the act 2009 of NITA-U to coordinate and regulate IT services in Uganda.
